which Cynthia was orphaned are not known). After moving to Oklahoma
with his parents, Joe and Cynthia lived at Wirt, OK, while he
worked for the Roxanna Oil Company (later purchased by Shell Oil
Company) from the early 1920s, until his retirement (variously
listed as 1956 or 1958). They had four boys and one girl who lived
beyond childhood:

After his retirement, Joe and Cynthia moved to Healdton, OK, and

Ruth. Cynthia Clark died in 1963. Joe married an old friend from
Bowie, Ollie "Beeky" Cooper in 1966 (?). Beeky had never
previously married.
Joe died at Healdton or Ardmore, OK, in March, 1970. He is buried
with Cynthia at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Healdton. After his
death, Beeky returned to Bowie, TX, where she died (exact date
unknown, but sometime before January, 1988).
